Quiet Motion II – Ervik
Where colour becomes emotion
Some sunsets are remembered for their colours. Others are remembered for how they made you feel.
Quiet Motion II – Ervik was created during an extraordinary evening on the west coast of Norway, where the last light of the day painted the sky with vibrant tones before slowly disappearing beyond the horizon.
Using intentional camera movement (ICM) and a longer exposure, the photograph moves beyond a literal representation of the landscape. Waves, sky and shoreline merge into flowing layers of colour and texture, creating an artwork that exists somewhere between photography and painting.
Rather than preserving every detail, the image captures the emotion of the moment — the quiet rhythm of the ocean, the warmth of the fading light and the sense of stillness that settles in as the day comes to an end.
Printed on museum-quality fine art paper and presented with a carefully balanced white border, each print is produced to preserve the subtle transitions of colour and tone while providing flexibility for framing.
About the Quiet Motion Collection
Quiet Motion is an ongoing fine art series exploring movement, light and atmosphere through intentional camera movement. Each artwork is created entirely in-camera, allowing landscapes to dissolve into abstract compositions that sit somewhere between photography and painting.
Rather than documenting specific places, the collection seeks to preserve fleeting moments of light, colour and emotion — inviting the viewer to slow down and experience each artwork in a personal way.
Available sizes
45 × 30 cm
60 × 40 cm
75 × 50 cm
90 × 60 cm
Each print includes a carefully balanced white border, making framing easier while enhancing the gallery presentation of the artwork.
